Shadow Cartel Management Tool Instructions

Postby Apollo Shinoda » Tue Jun 26, 2018 9:23 pm

This is a simple guide for using the authentication tool developed for our alliance to manage access and standings requests.

STANDINGS
This is the starting point for you if you've recently been granted a trial or your corp just joined alliance:
1) Point your favorite browser to https://auth.shadowcartel.com
2) Login with your main character using the Eve Online sign-on functionality
3) You will be prompted for an email address - this is important for later.
4) After authentication you will now be on the Home page - Click on Add Character with Eve SSO button
5) You will again be prompted to authenticate with the Eve Online sign-on functionality
6) Select the character you wish to add to the tool (each char per account will need to be added) and continue
7) Click on Add Character with Eve SSO button, and select the next character on that account
8) When ready to move to your next account, follow steps 4-5 again, but this time select Cancel, which will prompt you for the next Eve account login
9) Repeats steps 4-8 until all characters on all accounts are added to the tool.
10) Now you ready to request standings for each character - simply press the pictograph button near the bottom of the panel for each character to request the +10 standing. Note that if you are requesting standings for your alt corp, all members of that corp must be known to the tool for us to process the standings request.
11) Standings requests will be processed by an alliance officer in a timely manner.

GROUPS
Now you are ready to request access to the various channels and groups for our out-of-game tools we use, i.e. TeamSpeak and Slack:
1) Click on the Groups button from the left side navigation menu.
2) Identify the groups to which you feel you belong and and select Request Join on the right side of the listing. Note that certain groups will be added automatically, such as corporation groups and so on. Some groups such as Operations and Recruiters are restricted, so no need to request to join them, you will be added by someone if and when it is appropriate.
3) Your group requests will be processed by an alliance officer in a timely manner.

DOCKING FOR ALTS/ALT CORPS
Typically at the time we blue your alts/alt corp, we do not grant docking rights for your alts (chars in alliance already have docking rights to all alliance and Caprica structures). Instead, please request this through your CEO, who have access to a structure ACL for their corp's alts. If you get stuck or cannot get help, don't hesitate to contact Apollo Shinoda, Solo Trekario or ItsmeHck1 for a remedy. This includes all alliance structures as well as Caprica Logistics structures.

SERVICES
Next you will want to auth your services for our out-of-game tools we use, i.e. TeamSpeak and Slack

TeamSpeak
1) If you haven't already, download the free TeamSpeak 3 client here: https://www.teamspeak.com/en/downloads
2) Create a profile once installed and use your in-game main character name, spelled and spaced exactly as it is in-game.
3) Connect to http://shadowcartel.com, with password "t0sser" (zero after the first letter).
4) Once connected to the TeamSpeak server, again point your favorite browser to https://auth.shadowcartel.com and login using your main per usual.
5) On the auth panel, click the Services button from the left side navigation menu.
6) Click the blue Authenticate on TeamSpeak button to create your unique permissions key on TeamSpeak. You are now ready to use TeamSpeak for alliance operations. Remember, you must be logged in to TeamSpeak to have the permissions grant properly.

Slack
1) If you haven't already, download the free Slack client tool for your mobile device and/or computer by visiting http://slack.com
2) Point your favorite browser to https://auth.shadowcartel.com and login again using your main per usual.
3) On the auth panel, click the Services button from the left side navigation menu.
4) Click the blue Invite [your email address] to Slack button, which will send an invite to your previously submitted email address.
5) Follow the instructions you receive via email from Slack.com to create your account. Your profile name be your in-game main character name, spelled and spaced exactly as it is in-game.
6) Once your Slack profile is created and you have logged in, return to the alliance auth panel, Services button, and click on the Authenticate on Slack button. You will be automagically added to the groups to which you were granted access. Note that any requests for groups selected earlier may not yet be granted, but rest assured your grants will occur as they are processed.
7) You are now ready to begin using our alliance out-of-game communication and collaboration tool.

If you encounter difficulty or error in any of the foregoing procedures, please reach out to an alliance officer for assistance, e.g. Apollo Shinoda, ItsmeHcK1, or ask your corporation CEO for assistance.
